The Smooth Jazz Cruise and Jazz Cruises are proud to present The Smooth Jazz Cruise superband – The Summit! Five iconic musicians coming together for the first time and performing exclusively on The Smooth Jazz Cruise ‘25.1 & ‘25.2! They will be sailing the entire cruise both weeks so you will have ample opportunity to meet them. Before or after your cruise, you can discover all that the Fort Lauderdale area has to offer.
For what time(s) should I schedule my flights?
In choosing a ship for The Smooth Jazz Cruise, several factors are considered. The quality of the ship’s accommodations, services, food, and staff are all key factors. Driven by our focus on presenting the music of “The Greatest Party at Sea” in the finest possible manner, we focus heavily on the size, number, and variety of the ship’s performance venues. Several ships have very nice main theaters, but, as our guests know, our music is presented throughout the ship, so the size and number of secondary venues is also important.

Beyond The Music

Please remember, restrictions do apply, so to secure the broadest coverage be careful to apply for the insurance in a timely manner. When you make any payment – the completed deposit or final payment, that money is not refundable. No cool jazz program would be complete without cocktails, wine and food.
Can I park at the Cruise Port?
Get the VIP treatment while unwinding beachside in our private cabanas. Labadee’s seven neighborhoods each offer distinct ambience from total relaxation to high-energy thrills, but wherever you are, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking land and seascapes. Please do not place your boarding documents (including your passport and Celebrity Cruises Xpress pass) in your checked luggage as you will need them to continue through the boarding process. Next, you will arrive at Celebrity’s check-in counter where you will receive your SeaPass card that will reflect either a blue or red color according to your show selection. The SeaPass card will serve as your stateroom key, to use for all your onboard expenses, and the card you use to get on and off the ship at our ports of call.

What can I bring with me on board the ship? What can I NOT bring?
Once you give the porter your luggage you will not have access to it until it has gone through TSA-style security and been delivered to your stateroom. You may do that on The Smooth Jazz Cruise, but you would be missing special interviews, Artist-Hosted Events, pool parties, lunch events, and, of course, great music. Daytime music shows may be presented in any of the music venues (Celebrity Theatre, Rendezvous Lounge or Sky Lounge).
As you enter Port Everglades cruise terminal, you will see signage that will direct you to the Celebrity Cruise Terminal location. These signs are like the arrival and departure signage you see at airports. When you arrive at the Celebrity Terminal, you will check your luggage with the ship porters, make sure that you have attached your Celebrity luggage tags (available to print, during online check-in). The porters will have additional luggage tags available for your use.
It’s impossible to choose just one thing that’s special about Labadee. Christopher Columbus was the first European to set foot on this spectacular peninsula of Hispaniola in 1492, when the Santa Maria ran aground off the coast on Christmas Day. Five centuries later, it was transformed into Labadee, a tropical retreat and playground, created exclusively for its guests. The inviting beach, coral reefs and exciting amenities provide a perfect place to relax and have fun. Labadee is the ultimate private destination for cruise vacationers – and our guests will have it all to themselves for the day. Adventure, exploration and relaxation are just the beginning of what Labadee has to offer.
The hosts and headliners are joined by very talented featured performers, three incredible bands and the amazing talents of DW3. Music Director Eric Marienthal serves as the creator and coordinator of the music events and we top it off with Alonzo Bodden, the funniest man on the planet, serving as our comic/host. During the day there will be the romantic walks to red wine - Bordeaux is the cultural capital of all that is quintessentially French. Follow wine's journey from countryside to cask as you tour centuries-old vineyards and taste Bordeaux's finest vintages throughout your river cruise experience. Step into living history when you visit historic Roquetaillade Castle and Château Boutinet, delighting in their elegant décor and regal architecture. Then, contrast their grandeur with the pastoral gems including the historic village of Saint-Émilion and the seaside resort of Soulac-sur-Mer.
The Smooth Jazz Cruise takes that to another level by pairing these events with performers who serve as hosts. It may be a Happy Hour Hang or a wine tasting, but you can be there with your favorite performer. We try not to share too much of this information now as it undermines the surprise element, but here are three types of events we produce just for the sheer enjoyment of doing so. With both The Smooth Jazz Cruise ‘25.1 & ‘25.2 sailing several months from now, there will be cancellations creating availability in categories currently marked JOIN WAITLIST.
Anchored by an amazing main theater (The Theatre), which seats more than half our guests at one time, those ships have significant additional performance venues (Sky Lounge, Rendezvous Lounge, Foyer, Pool Deck). And, as we saw upon our first inspection of the ships, there is an amazing bonus venue. With a little imagination, we convert the main dining room (The Cosmopolitan Restaurant) into a performance venue every afternoon and a gorgeous jazz cabaret every evening.
Special shows may also be seen and heard on the pool deck or in The Cosmopolitan Restaurant, the main dining room of the ship. Daytime music shows are presented on a first-come, first-served basis. Currently the Millennium Class ships of Celebrity Cruises provides us with the best opportunity to present our programs.
The casual and formal dining areas have been transformed as well, giving the ship a sleeker and more contemporary look and feel. These ships continue to offer a fabulous array of dining choices, spectacular spa facilities and beautiful bars and lounges. Late Payments, including credit cards on file being denied when presented for payment, are subject to a penalty of 6% of the invoice amount if payment is not received within seven (7) days of issuance of notice of late payment due. Failure to cure a Late Payment within twenty (20) days of issuance of notice of Late Payment due or the occurrence of two (2) Late Payments may subject the reservation to cancellation of the reservation without refund or other compensation. The Dave Koz Cruise prides itself on providing guests with once-in-a-lifetime musical moments, the very finest in wine and cuisine, and the most popular Ports-of-Call in the world – all within the ‘floating backstage’ environment of luxury cruising.
